Our 5 school horses are calm, well-schooled, and suitable for a range of riders with
experience.

Each horse is chosen for its temperament, responsiveness, and ability to help riders improve their feel, balance, and technique. Their welfare is paramount, and we prioritise their well- being to ensure they remain healthy, happy, and willing partners in our training sessions.
 

Thurleigh Equestrian Centre offer one to one or pairs riding lessons to riders aged 18
years old and over who are able to ride in walk, trot and canter, on a range of lovely dressage school horses;
 

We have two Spanish dressage school horses; our 15hh grey Andalusian gelding Aragon and our 16.1hh black Andalusian gelding, Rafa, both working at Elementary level.
 

We also have 3 other dressage horses available for lessons; Felix is a 16hh Belgium
Warmblood working at Elementary level, Pop is 16.1hh Irish Sports Horse also working at Elementary level and Tally is our advanced school horse, he is a 16.2hh German Warmblood working at Advanced Medium level.

All our school horses are well mannered and polite and are great for building a rider’s skills and confidence. More details about all our horses can be found on our Facebook page.
 

All our lessons are one to one or in pairs so we can cater to your specific requirements, for example, getting back into riding, building confidence, riding to improve your fitness or just riding for fun.
